Course Details

Our par-72, 18-hole River Greens Golf Course in Avon Park, Florida can measure over 6,300 yards from the back tees. It was designed by Jack Kidwell and opened for play in 1969. River Greens strives year round for quality conditions. The course is great for all ablilities with target golf and strategy coming in to play. We even have a driveable par 4 on the front. The finish is outstanding with 3 par 5's out of the last 4 holes, a long hitters dream finish.
This course's terrain is basically level, but there are a few hills that may cause an uneven lie, and the fairways are very tight. In addition, either a lake, pond, or canal will come into play on thirteen of the eighteen holes. The course has either out-of-bounds stakes or water hazards in play on every hole except #10. Hole #9, a 558-yard, par 5, veers around a large lake and has two separate greens to shoot for. The average-sized greens are severely undulating or sloped and typically cut at 3/16 of an inch. This facility does offer specials on their green fees, so contact the pro shop for more information. The greens fees fluctuate throughout the season and are actually less expensive on weekends. The fees listed above indicate the highest prices during the year.
