A Brief History
The Davis family of Coshocton County, Ohio, started in the golf business in 1965, by building a golf course on land which was at one time their family farm. The golf course still exists today which we fondly refer to as River Greens North and is located in West Lafayette, Ohio.
The Davis' purchased an existing nine-hole course in Avon Park in 1969. After extensive renovation to a then defunct operation, the golf course was reopened later that year. The second nine holes were added in 1974. In the fall of 1993, River Greens South celebrated its 25th year in business with the construction of a new clubhouse.
Although River Greens has seen many changes over the years, our purpose remains the same . . . to promote golfing pleasure in a friendly atmosphere.
